Day Prep Littles
Our Littles program provides an exceptional and elevated learning environment for children ages 18 – 48 months. We help children develop self-awareness while protecting and cultivating curiosity through whole group, small group, and 1:1 play and structured opportunities. Our students are able to grow and develop in a reimagined and balanced environment at a 1:4 teacher-to-child ratio. Based on each child’s individual needs, beginning around age 40 months, children may shift to our Junior Kindergarten program.

Day Prep’s Complete Development Approach
Children learn through play. Children learn when they come confidently and eagerly to learning. At Day Prep, a child’s school home is a place where they are safe to explore, learn, and grow. Music, rhyme, embedded art, life skills, simulated play, along with unstructured play are the foundation of our program.
Our engaging, loving teachers are fully trained in our Integrity Curriculum and rigorously trained to the Reading Specialist level. Our teachers bring the Day Prep curriculum to life in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our research-based methods provide the foundation for a highly creative and effective program.
In our elevated environment, your child will learn how to communicate effectively, express their needs and values, and explore their soul qualities and signature skills through active and creative play and learning opportunities.
Reading Readiness Platform
We help children build reading readiness and reasoning skills through the foundational elements of reading and writing from birth until they become emergent readers. This developmentally-based program ensures your child will progress in the best and most rapid way, for them. Shared, guided, and independent reading materials, methods, and activities build a strong foundation from which children flourish.
Children learn as they make decisions while playing. Unstructured play with a wide variety of materials, settings, and modalities provides opportunities for children to problem-solve, experience outcomes, and change course in response to those outcomes. Our teachers develop meaningful learning centers children can explore with their hands, hearts, and minds!
Children learn the essential building blocks for communication, reading, writing, and math through expert instruction with the Alphabetic Principle, Concepts about Print, Phonemic Awareness, and the Sound/Symbol Relationship. Math progresses from concrete to abstract based on the developmental needs of each child–so they can learn without a ceiling. All of this is interwoven into play-based learning that feels like fun.
In addition, fine motor, large motor, and pencil grasp skills are taught at just the right level for your child–when your child is ready.
