Hello! I am Angel Martinez and I am overjoyed to be joining Day Prep to become a strong leader in students’ academic and personal lives. I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, before moving around Southern California to San Diego and Riverside. My mother owned and operated a daycare out of our childhood home for 30 years. I became socialized at a young age, which has helped me connect with students of all ages.

 

I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Environmental Studies. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction + Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (K-5) program at the University of San Diego. I’ve always found fulfillment and joy in tutoring elementary students and teaching them about morals and values.

 

When I am not in the classroom, studying, or completing assignments, you can find me on the beach playing beach volleyball, swimming in the ocean, working out, or enjoying a good book.
