My name is Joy Newbegin. I am a local educator, born and raised in sunny San Diego. I have my Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of California, Irvine, and I have a deep passion for education. I am committed to fostering well-rounded students and believe in providing each student with the tools and support they need to succeed. I believe in nurturing a growth mindset and encouraging students to trust themselves. My ultimate goal is to create a positive environment where all students can thrive, grow confidently, and gain skills beyond the classroom.

In addition to my dedication to teaching, I am a versatile artist with a strong passion for music, classical dance, and visual art. These interests not only enrich my life but also provide me with unique perspectives that I bring into the classroom. I love the arts, animals, the outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I am thankful to do what I love and be a part of such an incredible team.
