My name is Katie Lengyel. I earned my teaching credential at SDSU back in 2006 and have taught in various roles since then, mostly specializing in teaching reading to elementary-aged students. Educating and helping others grow has always been a passion of mine; when my little sister was in kindergarten I remember sitting at the table with her trying to teach her how to multiply. Teaching has always come naturally to me. In fourth grade, my teacher asked me to be the one to explain directions to the class because he knew I could say information in different ways so that everyone could understand. I believe every moment can be a teaching moment or a learning moment and each day we are growing into our better selves.
