Hello, my name is Lara and  I’m thrilled to be a part of Day Prep‘s dedicated team of educators. Teaching is a passion of mine, and it all began after I graduated from UCLA in 2004. I double majored in Economics and Francophone Studies with a minor in Political Science.  Eager to explore the world and share my love for languages, I took a leap of faith and moved to Paris to teach English. This transformative experience not only deepened my understanding of different cultures but also ignited my lifelong commitment to teaching.

Over the years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work in various countries, including France, Brazil, and Spain. From teaching preschoolers to university students, each experience has shaped me into the versatile and adaptable educator I am today. I believe that through education and caring support individuals can transcend their limits and unlock new ways of expression and perspective.

Outside the classroom, you can find me immersing myself in cooking, holistic health, dancing, painting, traveling, hiking and spending time with my dogs. I’m passionate about embracing diverse perspectives and love exploring new cuisines and engaging in meaningful conversations. I’m excited to bring my international experiences and global perspective to Day Prep, where I can contribute to the school’s mission of nurturing well-rounded, confident, and compassionate individuals.
