Hi my name is Moriah Scott. I am a San Diego native and I love everything that our beautiful city has to offer! From a very early age I knew I wanted to become a teacher. Growing up, my teachers and educators were my superheroes. Languages, reading, and writing have always been my passion. I am trilingual, I speak Spanish, English and American Sign Language.
I graduated from San Diego State University with my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and will eventually go on to get my Masters in Special Education.
I began my journey to education by becoming a line staff and eventually working in administration for the Boys and Girls Clubs of East County. That organization fostered such an incredible environment of close knit colleagues who were passionate about the education and well being of children. I attribute my outgoing personality and tenacity to my many wonderful years with that organization.
As a private instructor for Day Prep, I hope to help students discover their innate desires to increase their intellect around their favorite subjects. I also want to encourage each student to push past their fear of failure and dive into other subjects that may seem daunting to them.
When I am not doing private instructor work, I am hiking, reading, lounging with my cat or cooking and baking in my kitchen.
I am so grateful to be a part of the Day Prep team and I look forward to helping students reach their full potential!
